If you are having hard time finding something, try the following tips:
- Take advantage of the links to audio in the email you receive from us. Finding
a class lecture in the Education section should not normally be a problem,
since you are receiving regular emails when you sign up for an online lecture
course. These emails contain links to the proper lesson for the week
right in the email. Save the email and follow the links in the message,
rather than trying to navigate through all the links in the members only
section.
- What? You don't receive email from us about online lectures? Just
email us and ask to be put on the list. Send your request to Nancy at hamradio@courage.org.
- You can reach the members section of the website by clicking on the
logo in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. This is the word
"handiham" with a microphone in the center. If you are using a
screenreader, it should be your very first spoken link.
If you are at the main Handiham page, which is at www.handiham.org,
you will find many links. Sometimes it is easiest to perform a site
search for pages and announcements containing words that might take you to
your goal. This is especially true, for example, if you saw something
in the Weekly E-letter and want to locate that same e-letter issue again.
Look for the word "search" followed by a form field. Enter the
search word and press the enter key. You will be taken to a results page
that lists the pages and announcements where you will find that search word.
- Learn the navigation system. On the main start page, www.handiham.org,
the navigation menu is in the left sidebar. When you click on a link such as
"E-Letter Online", an entire new list of archived issues of the
e-letter expands beneath that link in the left sidebar. The Handiham site is
a large website with a lot of information, and it takes awhile to learn
where things are, so be patient and just look around to see what we have
waiting for you! By the way, the members section has simplified
navigation. Take a look there, too, and spend some time looking
around.
- Email patt@courage.org if you get
stuck. We want to help you!
