Handiham Program Virtual Class Application

Amateur radio license classes for 2026–2027, presented by the Courage Kenny Handiham Program.

Classes Being Offered

Each virtual course is $30. You may sign up for as many courses as you wish. Please note that classes may be cancelled if not enough people sign up.

You must be a Handiham Program member

Classes are for members of the Handiham Program. If you are not a member yet, you can do both at once — fill in the membership application as well as this one, and we will take care of the rest.

Joining a class that has already started

All three classes are under way, and you are still welcome to join any of them. We will send you the handouts and the audio recordings from every session you have missed, so you can catch up at your own pace. There is no extra charge and no deadline for joining.

What You Receive

Classes are held on Zoom and each session is audio recorded. Every week you will receive handouts in DOCX and TXT format, along with an MP3 audio recording of that week's class session. Nothing is lost if you miss a session or join partway through.

Course Fee Refund Policy (required)

Course fee refund requests will be considered until the start of the second session of your selected course. Once the second session begins, you can withdraw from the course, however, the course fee will not be refunded.

Media Consent and Authorization (required)

Handiham Program Virtual Courses for Calendar Year 2026–2027.

The Handiham Program records all virtual course sessions for future use. Due to the nature of holding courses over Zoom, we cannot guarantee that other participants are not also recording sessions and/or taking screenshots. Therefore, as a condition of participation, we require that all participants complete the following Media Consent and Authorization. Consent can be rescinded at any time, but once your consent is withdrawn, you will no longer be able to participate in the remainder of the live sessions. You will still be able to receive recordings of the live sessions. Refunds will not be issued to participants who withdraw their consent once the course begins.

Consent to Create and/or Use Photos, Recording or Broadcast

The purpose for which the photograph, recording or broadcast will be created or used is: The photos and/or recordings will potentially be used for marketing and presentations for the Handiham Program. Media will also be shared with our program members.

I understand that:

  • This release is valid for all Virtual Handiham events I choose to participate in during 2026–2027.
  • I can ask to stop the photography, recording or broadcast at any time before it starts or while it is happening.
  • If I am a patient, I have the right to cancel this consent before the images, recordings or broadcast are used.

I agree that:

  • All images or recordings and/or copies will be the exclusive property of Allina Health.
  • Allina Health may keep or use the images or recordings now or in the future.
  • Allina Health may use personal information about me in connection with the photograph, recording or broadcast, which may include my name, health information and other personal information that I provide to Allina Health.
  • Allina Health does not owe me any payment for any benefit it receives for the use of my images or voice, including for marketing or publication of the images or recordings.

After you select Submit, a confirmation page will tell you that your application has been received. That page is your confirmation. We will also try to email you a copy, though if you use a forwarding address such as @arrl.net it may not reach you. If you do not see the confirmation page, please email Lucinda so we can make sure your application arrived.
