Whether you are studying for your first license or upgrading to Extra, our virtual classes meet weekly on Zoom and are designed to be fully accessible. You may sign up for as many courses as you wish.
Classes Being Offered
- Extra Class Tuesday evenings, 7:30 p.m. Central Time — started September 29
- Technician Saturday mornings, 11:00 a.m. Central Time — started October 3
- General Sunday evenings, 7:30 p.m. Central Time — started October 4
Who Can Join
You must be a member of the Handiham Program to take a class. If you are not a member yet, that is easily sorted and you can do both at once.
Go to the membership application. Send in your membership application and your class application together, and we will take care of the rest.
Joining a Class That Has Already Started
All three classes are under way, and you are still welcome to join any of them. People join partway through every year.
When you sign up, we will send you the handouts and the audio recordings from every session you have missed, so you can catch up at your own pace before the next class. Tell us on the application form, or just email or call, and we will get them to you.
There is no extra charge for this, and no deadline for joining.
Cost
Each virtual course is $30. Please note that classes may be cancelled if not enough people sign up, so registering early genuinely helps us plan.
What You Receive
Classes are held on Zoom and each session is audio recorded. Every week you will receive:
- Handouts in both DOCX and TXT format
- An MP3 audio recording of that week's class session
This means you can study in whichever format works best for you, and you will not fall behind if you have to miss a session, or if you join after the course has started.

How to Pay
You will choose one of these payment methods on the application form:
- Credit card, using our secure payment site
- By phone — we will call you for your credit card information
- Check or money order, made payable to Courage Kenny Handiham Program and mailed to: 3915 Golden Valley Road, MR #78446, Golden Valley, MN 55422
Course Fee Refund Policy
Course fee refund requests will be considered until the start of the second session of your selected course. Once the second session begins, you can withdraw from the course, however, the course fee will not be refunded.
Recording and Media Consent
The Handiham Program records all virtual course sessions for future use. Because classes are held over Zoom, we cannot guarantee that other participants are not also recording sessions or taking screenshots. For that reason, all participants complete a Media Consent and Authorization as part of the application. The full consent language appears on the application form.
