On 03 September 2014 a second Astron RS-20A shorted out at W0ZSW. The TS-480HX has been reduced to one power supply and power constrained to 100 watts or less. This is the second power supply failure in as many months, both failing during thunderstorms. We do attempt to take the station offline during storms when it is possible to do so. The TS-480HX ordinarily requires two power supplies since it supports 200 watt operation.
